Scoping out Sowa

Today Justin and Lauren went to check out SoWa Open Market in the South End, Boston. It was a really great experience and SUCH a beautiful day! All the art vendors were super inviting and friendly. Some of the stuff we saw was really creative too! One company in particular was called "Boobies" and they made designs based on the goofy birds (called boobies)- so of course they make silly and charming imagery with every pun ever known to man. We made friends with the creators and hope to be market buddies in the future! After seeing how everything is done- we're confident in making our tent AWESOME in both ambience and utility.

Don't worry- we'll document the process. Probably video record- in which Lauren, whom will no doubt be caffeinated enough, will curse- a lot- while setting up the "EZ UP"... it's not so easy.  For everyone who sees this and visits our tent- free hugs!!

In other news- Tuesday night we'll post a couple umbrella painting videos! wahoo!!

KICKSTARTER: LAUNCHED!

Today we posted the kickstarter.com video!! very exciting! Which means we have 30 days to raise $10,800 and Lauren will pace around a lot. Oh, and she'll paint more 'brellas. Stay tuned for some videos of the painting process! There will wine. There will be dancing.  There will be a mess made.

In the meantime, sit back, relax, watch this video and maybe donate a couple bucks?

OOH Kickstarter video!

Alrighty!

So: great news! We finished the kickstarter.com video a few days ago and our proposal (you have to submit one) was approved by the kickstarter staff!  Now we just have to fine tune the details and we'll be able to launch it to the public! Very exciting! We need about $18,000...yikes!  And this is just to get started! All $$ we receive in donations go straight to the production/printing of the brellas.  We're only going to ask for about 11k though (for fear that we won't get anything if we're just a dollar under the minimum- don't worry- if this happens all backers get their donation returned to their account immediately) We're gonna put the video up for 31 days to collect. Wish us luck!

 In the mean time Lauren is going to keep painting brellas and sell them on Etsy. Greg will keep being AWESOME. and Justin will keep being a snarkypants and entertain the crowd.
